Recovery Groups

aa logo 2For many years FLC has made a committment to the Wyoma Square neighborhood to provide a safe, welcoming space to meet for those in recovery from substance abuse through AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and NA (Narcotics Anonymous). There are currently five groups who meet weekly in Luther Hall in the lower level of the building. We understand these groups to be sharing in the healing ministry of Jesus, who rejected no one, loved everyone, and restored the sick to health and community.

Unfortunately due to restrictions around COVID-19, in-person, indoor gatherings of recovery groups are currently suspended. Please check with your meeting organizer to see if online our outdoor options are currently being offered, or see below:

"Fifth Step"

Pr. Jon is available to guide anyone through the fifth step of recovery in AA, "admitting to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs." This takes the form of a confidential conversation similiar to sacramental confession which is held in the strictest confidence, and if desired, can conclude with absolution and prayer. Please contact the church council while Pr. Jon is on sabbatical.
